Jubilee Prayer to Saint John Vianney

Jubilee Prayer to Saint John Vianney
For the Jubilee Year of Priests 2009-2010
French original from www.arsnet.org

Amen.

(English)

Saint John Vianney, you have shown the “way to heaven” to many souls, show us the way of friendship and life with the Father.

Help us to taste the happiness which is found in knowing Jesus Christ, in loving him and in making him loved. Like you, may we discover the joy of living in the grace of the Holy Spirit, and hence to follow him confidently in faith.

Teach us to love and to celebrate, always and even more, the sacraments of reconciliation and the Eucharist. It is there that we truly encounter the Lord for us to grow in true freedom and be able to help others to be holy. May his presence in the Blessed Sacrament draw us, fills us and become for each one of us a source of consolation.

Help us to discover the Word of God as a light for our time and a guide for us in loving and serving our brethren, especially the poor and little ones, with joy.

You are the “patron of all parish priests of the world” and a model full of love for each priest, we come to entrust them and to pray for them; keep them in peace and fidelity to the Church.

Holy Priest of Ars, help us to become, always and more and more, witnesses of God’s love. Increase in us the desire to become saints. Amen.

(Filipino)

Amen.
